This is a hiking photo trip report for the White River Valley Trail System, featuring the Red Trail. Click on the photos for large images, large enough for screensaver or background images.
There is a beautiful entrance parking lot complete with bathroom facilities at the entrance, and a trail map (usable and enlargeable picture below), of the trail system. It is comprised of four loops that have connector trails to each other, as well as connector short cuts. For a short one mile estimate hike, take the red trail and the number one connector. For a comfortable speed, and beginner that wants to do a trail in the woods, this might take one hour.

For the entire red trail, it takes about 1 – 1.5 hours by mountain bike with a few short stops, and 2.5 to 3.0 hours to walk the trail. Bring hydration and snacks. The gradient for the red trail is quoted as 120 feet in elevation. Here are the photos taken on a late October Saturday, accompanied by a local Branson area, (Hollister MO) Cub Scout group, (Boy Scouts of America). They were as young as 7 or 8 and walked entire red trail. With the gradient, some cardio ability will be required. (As a note, there is a nice easy paved trail across the road at the Table Rock Lake State Park entrance, 2.2 miles of a beautifully paved hike and bike trail that follows the Table Rock Lake shore. Very little gradient is experienced throughout that entire paved trail system.)
Here are more photos of the trail:

White River Valley Trail System, Pictures. There is about 120 foot gradient, a few switchbacks to make the trail a little easier, none the less some elevation to ascend and descend.
